Originally built in 1872, The Old Corral Hotel &
Steak House is a legendary piece of Wyoming's
storied Wild West history!
Built as a corral and barn to hold horses and cattle during the cattle drives of the late 1800's, many a stage coach and wagon would stop here during the great Western migration to rest and restock.
Then, in 1875, a group of hunters came across pure gold outcroppings sticking right up out of the ground in the Snowy Range Mountains just a few hundred yards to our west. Within months, the population of this tiny spot on the trail swelled to over 5,000 people and the town of Centennial was born.
For those seeking adventure, your just minutes away from the time of your life! Downhill and cross country skiing along with snowboarding is available at the Snowy Range Ski Area. Featuring a great mixture of green, blue and black slopes, skiers will revel in the challenging slopes and abundant snow at this great family ski resort. No long lines, great equipment, qualified instructors and a wonderful staff await you!
For the snowmobile enthusiast, we've got just what you are looking for! Ride up to nearly 12,000' elevation in the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest and enjoy the spectacular scenery. You will thrill as your sled races along the groomed trails or for added adventure create your own trail in the traditionally heavy snow. In the summer, enjoy fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking, backpacking, nature tours, ATV riding, canoeing, horseback riding, shopping for antiques, bird watching or any of dozens of other activities!!
